Photo share If you do an internet search for photo share on Google, you get about 140,000,000 results.

That sounds a little overwhelming, doesn't it. I've researched many of the options on sharing photos and I've come up with a few reviews on photo sharing websites and online photo editing.

Okay, now that you have taken some great photos, have you said: : "I want to share my photos.""Photo Share." You can share your pictures in a variety of ways.

  • Print them and show them off.
  • Email them to friends and relatives. First you need to know about Resizing Pictures
  • Upload them to the internet. And you can do it for FREE:

A photography friend of mine built a web site called Tips For Working With Digital Photos Online and it has more ideas on what to do and how to share your photos after you have taken them: Tips For Working With Digital Photos Online.

Another great way to participate in photo sharing is to make your own photo book. Here is an informative web site dedicated to teach you all you need to know about how to Make Your Own Photo Book.

If you're a little intimidated about sharing your own photos on one of those big web sites with millions of viewers, post just one or two of your photos here: Photo Sharing Gallery. I'll give you some feedback or you can get some comments from a few other photography enthusiasts.

Flickr has millions of users uploading about 4000 new photos each minute. There are so many albums for you to look at. Get some ideas and get inspired to take great photos yourself

Shutterfly is focused on allowing you to set up your own photo website. You can order a huge variety of sizes of prints as well as calendars and customized photo books. A new feature called "share site" is a real cool way to share our photos with friends and family. You can organize, edit and crop your photos in a variety of ways.

Snapfish started as more of a printing service and expanding on online photo albums, sideshows and storytelling, captioned shows. You can order prints on sizes up to 8x10. Turnaround time is very quick with options on delivery services.

Facebook is more of a social networking site with photos being an important part of interacting with your friends and family. The number of people joining Facebook is staggering. You can create albums and upload your photos and share with your Facebook friends. Your "profile photos" are seen by anyone you contact with a message. You can "tag" anyone's photo and you're notified when your photo has been "tagged"

Myspace was the first big social networking site. Social networking is having a dramatic impact on how we communicate as a society. It is now mostly popular with the teens and pre-teens.

Photobucket It's emphasis is on a lot of video sharing. You can upload directly from Photobucket to your personal Facebook, Blogger and Myspace websites

Smugmug offers a free 14 day trial and is geared toward professionals. It has high end graphics for pro photographers to set up their own online galleries and portfolios. This site has some amazing digital photographs.

If you already signed up for one of these photo sharing sites, have you told your friend "I share my photos at...." Please consider sharing the photography web sit with them too.



Doing a photo share is a great way to get feedback from others. It is easy to feel insulted when someone gives you a suggestion on how you can improve your photograph. Develop a bit a a thick skin. Remember, they are not commenting on you
