Macro Photography Idea

Mystery Abstract Macro Photo

Mystery Abstract Macro Photo

I wanted to do some abstract macro photography that involves one of my hobbies.

I use a dslr with extension tubes.

I set my camera to manual focus mode with auto exposure and moved the object in and out ever so slowly while looking through the viewfinder until the image was focused.

Hint # 1: A "major" event happens with this activity four times each year. Exposure was 1/500 second at f-3.2.
I took this photo by holding the mystery object in my left hand.

I attached my digital camera to my tripod and my right hand was holding the remote shutter release.

Hint # 2: This activity is always done with this subject of this macro photo being held in your hand.
There was a window to my right.

Hint # 3: Sometimes there are "Aces"

Hint # 4: It's a sport that has an unusual way to keep score. After the first point of a game is won, the score is 15 to love.
